BOWLING FUNDRAISER STRONGLY SUPPORTED
On behalf of the Kingsway 5 Pin Bowlers' Association, Youth Bowling Canada (YBC), K5PBA Senior Bowling Leagues and all the K5PBA Children with special needs Programs, I would like to give a big thank-you to all the wonderful and generous Sponsors of our 34th annual fundraiser K5PBA Fall Dance hels at the Royal Canadian Legion, Morningstar Avenue Welland, on Saturday October 27, 2007. It was the smaller businesses that came through with the biggest hearts that made our fundraiser the success it was.
I was raised in this area and know how great this city and its people are. Some of them gave, not even knowing what our programs do for the area children and seniors all year round, and in doing so, I would ask all of the citizens reading this letter to support all of the local businesses because they came through for us without reservations in the time of need.
Thanks to:
Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #4 Welland; Central Music (helen, bob and staff); Molsons Canada ( dave Zezella); M.T. WELCOME BACK
On behalf of the K5PBA, I would like to welcome all of our members (new and veterans) back for another exciting and great year of 5 Pin Bowling!
As you can see, there have been quite a few positive changes to the Kingsway Center and your K5 Associations operations.
Before I continue, I would like to welcome Bill Millar to the K5 Board. Bill is going to help out with the fundraising portion of the K5 operations (RE: Elimination draw, the new "Share the Wealth" lottery). So when you see him out at your League or Tournaments, let him Know that you appreciate what he's doing to help build a stronger Association and all the benefits that come with it.
As you may note, all of our K5 50/50 draws and Bowling for dollars are now $2.00 per entry. This should make the winning pots more exciting and grow much faster! We, the K5 Executive, still continue to work hard outside the alleys doing our BINGO programs at the Main Street Bingo Hall downtown on Sundays and Mondays to raise funds.
We have had to make alot of difficult decisions in the off season to continue all of our K5 programs( prizes, bowler tournament sponsorship, our Y.B.C support, and all the while, try to continue to maintain our "Children with Special Needs" programs, so I want to thank all of you for helping us do our job by being there for us along the way!
"AND oh by the way" I just want to congratulate and thank each K5PBA Board Member for working so hard and the whole Kingsway membership for being awarded (see plaque) by the Ontario 5 Pin Bowlers Association.

Once again it's my pleasure to represent you and being your K5PBA President for another year.
Happy Bowling in 2007 / 2008 Ed Sodtka
The Kingsway 5 Pin Bowlers' Association is dedicated to promoting and Improving the Sport of 5 Pin Bowling to young and seasoned bowlers alike.
They accomplish this through various endeavors including an Association run bingo, bowling tournaments and weekly half and half draws.
Money raised through the hard work of Board Members of the K5PBA helps to pay for many of the Tournaments and travel expences of the Youth Bowling Council.
The Board also supplies monthly and year end awards, bowling shirts for Provincial Tournaments, a jacket program, just to mention a few.
We fund other activities for the YBC, recognizing that the youth of today are the future of five pin bowling.
The Kingsway 5 Pin Bowlers' Association also supports a number of charities in the Welland and surrounding area.
Senior Citizen Bowlers and Special needs children and adults receive special attention with tournaments and funraisers throughout the Year.
